Until The Ice Breaks

Hey y'all

As everyone probably knows a large swath of the US is being enveloped in a silken robe of ice. I am ever fascinated by the dichotomy of it's lush, soft appearance and the harsh reality of its brittle weight.

You can see that the freezing rain is still falling.

I hope you are snuggly and warm wherever you are.

Smooches and some frosty little gropes babies.

lovely!

especially the single stair cap...and I love the way the ice crystals were picked up on the fountain shot!

I love it!
The stair caps pics are my favorite, too - they look like they're wearing fringe!
I am definitely snuggly - still in my robe at noon. Yes!

Oh yes, lovely and warm here in Houston ... in the 60s and 70s for the most part! Superb photos, btw :)

How gorgeous!!! I saw an ice storm in Colorado once and was amazed at the ice outlining a barbed wire fence. It was just so stunning as if it couldn't even be real!

The ice DOES make for lovely photos, but I remember well how treacherous it can be for driving and even walking. Be safe, and stay warm!

I can't get my core temperature up!

I just looked outside and didn't see any of that stuff. You are lying and / or on drugs. But it does look pretty. Probably used photoshop or something.

Tell Brad to stop being his complaining. I now how his core temp gets up even in the cold...

Nice photos. Such a difference from the sit-outside-and-sip-a-drink days hey.

I just love ice storms. I hate it when the power or phones go out, but I love seeing everything coated in ice and snuggling down under some quilts. Have fun, hon!

Don't like ice...nope. Stay warm and snuggy.

We're getting hammered up here tonight. We're gonna end up with about 1/4-1/2 inch of ice and 9 inches of snow. I dig it. Cheers TB!!

We ended up on the edge so only a tiny layer of ice and about .0025" of snow...schools are closed!

At the office after a one hour delayed opening...me, I was here about 10 minutes later then normal...

Stay safe...warm...cuddly...

We don't get ice storms up here, so it's a foreign concept. I DO snortgiggle at places that have a "snow day" when a quarter inch of it piles up though.

Ice can be very beautiful as it gives everything a kind of surreal fairyland look. Of course, I don't like it when it gets underpaw and messes with my balance!

AS beautiful as they are I don't ever want to go through another ice storm like we had here 11 years ago when I was fat pregnant. Stay safe.
