I know that title may sound odd but I do have a recipe for you. Technically it's a version( I cheated and used cream instead of egg) of linguine carbonara but around here we get 'creative' with things and it will forever be known as 'Swine Pasta' . I hope you are giggling cause I sure am.
You can make this with pretty much any type of pasta (I doubt angel hair would work well but in a pinch--why not). Linguine is my favorite 'long' pasta and is perfect for this.
As always my measurements are approximate---this makes enough for a nice satisfying supper for two. It's one of my favorite 'pantry' suppers because it's simple, quick and I always have the ingredients.
Boil about one third of a 16 oz package of linguine in salted water. Add about 1/2 cup of frozen peas to the pasta just as the water comes back to a boil after adding the pasta. Cook to just al dente.
Slice about 6 to 8 strips of bacon into one inch pieces. Saute the bacon in a chef's pan over medium low heat until crisp. Add about 1/2 cup or so of heavy whipping cream and scrape the pan as it reduces a bit. Add the well drained pasta and peas along with a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese (NOT the green can stuff--come on people;-)) and some freshly ground black pepper. Stir to coat the pasta and serve immediately. Top with some additional cheese.
Brad raved about this dish and gave it it's official new moniker--but you already knew that*grin*
And dessert? Dessert was amazing*giggle*
Smooches and some yummy full fat gropes babies.

I would try this, but I don't like pasta or peas.
And you can get Parmesan cheese that doesn't come in the green can?
Adam: The peas are strictly an option but how can you not like pasta??? And yeah--it's called real cheese;-)
I just don't like pasta. Especially with marinara sauce, but even with a white sauce, it's still one of my least favorite foods.
You lost me at peas. GACK!
Now if it had CAKE, Trav would make it. In a heartbeat.
So, I was amazing, huh? I always knew that.
the stuff in the green can smells like cat litter.
Adam: Well this isn't a 'white' sauce per se---and it's full of bacony goodness!
Trav: You can leave the peas out. And have cake for dessert.
Songbird: LOLOL Maybe it was Freudian!thx
LeSombre: I agree. But we do have some cause well some people are 'curious' hee hee
I wanted to put "fake" parmesan cheese on it, but I wasn't allowed to. She's a Cooking Nazi.
Will it work with soba (Japanese buckwheat) noodles? And with tofu instead of pig parts?
They put cheese in a can?
Heavy cream... fat ass. That would be me, not you, darlin'. :D
Thanks for the recipe!
I told you not to tell my NYE recipe to the world until AFTER the party!!!!!
Actually, I think you love the pasta course!
I knew Travis would GACK... Dessert is a good thing.
Brad: Fake parmesan? Have you lost your mind?
Well?! Don't leave us hanging!! WHAT WAS DESSERT????
I think my comment got eaten!
I am with Adam. I am not a big pasta fan. And the heavy cream comes from cows, right?
Anything with swine in it is a beautiful thing. Cheers!!
mmmmmmmmmm, sounds tasty. bet it would be awesome again the next day - for breakfast in bed.
OMG woman! I DO need you cooking for me, seeing as my BP keeps rising and my Hb keeps dropping... Ugh... This sounds luciously good!!!
