My Huckleberry Friend

Hey y'all

I was at a conference in Louisville earlier this year and stayed on the 9th floor of the Galt House .(and experienced an earthquake)

I took these pics of the falls of the Ohio River from my room which had a wall of windows with this fabulous view.

And being me I immediately hear this song when I look at them. I love the lyrics and beautiful melody. While the Andy Williams version of this Johnny Mercer/Henry Mancini song is a classic I love the fragile beauty of Audrey Hepburn's version from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

In '06 we stayed at the Galt House (because we lived in Ft Wayne at the time) and I took very similar pictures! Only it was March and looked like March. Something about being so high up over looking that spectacular sight....

Just had to tell you, the first time I stayed at the Galt House, was also my first encounter with a Ghost.
I get chills everytime I tell the story.
