Thursday Thirteen Edition No. 3

Thirteen Things For Which I Am Thankful It's edition number three for me and a special holiday to me. I have always loved Thanksgiving. It is about getting together and being together and cooking and eating and laughing and basking in the glow of each other's company. So thirteen things to be thankful for seemed only fitting for today. 1. To be living in relative safety when so many people in the world have to fear a simple trip to the corner market. I hope we as a nation can soon be strong enough to help make the world more peaceful. 2. My DH (that's dear husband y'all) and family 3. Signing on to the American Idol messages boards nine months ago today because I simply had to discuss how wonderful Taylor Hicks was 4. All of my friends---both the ones I had before AI and the ones I have made since. If friends are the family that you pick I sure have an interesting and amazing family and I love them 5. Being for the most part healthy 6. Being able to help families through my work when they are facing the worst times 7. Music 8. The simple joy of my little dog wriggling and smiling and giving me kisses 9. Passion and love 10. Finding the desire to write again 11. Being able to help feed people who would not have anything to eat otherwise 12. The military and police and fire fighters serving and protecting all of us 13. Being reminded to love deeper and speak sweeter because life is short It does not really matter on what day you count your blessings --it just matters that you do. Links to other Thursday Thirteens!
